Worker Safety

Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser’s high flash points (144oF/62oC), coupled with the fact that all major components are permitted by the FDA and are GRAS ( generally recognized as safe) by FEMA, improves worker safety and may reduce insurance underwriting cost by eliminating flammables from the workplace. The very low vapor pressure and evaporative rates insure that only minimal amounts of Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser becomes airborne, lowering the light pine aroma in the workplace. As with all strong detergents and cleaners, reasonable care should be exercised with the product’s use.

Environmental Safety

Nutre CleanŽ products contain no ozone depleting substances (ODS), they are not hazardous air pollutants (HAPS) and terpenes are recommended by the Montreal Protocol as a safe alternative for petroleum chemistry worldwide. Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser is not a hazardous waste in it’s virgin state and approval to sewer the product has been granted in all municipalities where permission has been requested. Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser has a persistence rating of zero, meaning it is easily biodegradable and decomposes through natural processes.

Nutre CleanŽ products are formulated to be a safe replacement for traditional petroleum industrial solvents which may be considered toxic, hazardous, or undesirable for a variety of health or environmental reasons. Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser is designed to remove grease, oil, soils, and some inks and adhesives, from bearings, machinery, races, and other surfaces during maintenance operations. Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser will replace rental cleansers, caustic solutions, and other degreasing systems with a cleaner that is long lasting and cost effective. This product does it all! It is a proprietary blend of coniferous (comes from pine trees) terpenes and other biodegradable ingredients. High solvency (good strength and subsequent cleaning ability) plus the ability to soil load at extremely high levels results in the use of far less degreaser each month.

Use

Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser is always used full strength for all applications. It is formulated for use in cleaning sinks, as a hand wipe, in immersion tanks, and to replace petroleum products where degreasing operations occur. It is always used at room temperature, and when used in the Nupro Technologies Cleaning Sink it is common to see chemistry life measured in months, not weeks. It does not promote flash rusting and cleaned surfaces are ready for reuse, machining, or painting. Current applications are newspapers, foundries, and vehicle maintenance/degreasing operations. No rinse is required as Nutre CleanŽ Degreaser leaves a non-ionic trace residue to aid in protecting metal.
